Prayer is not only expressed in the spoken word, but in song. As the old saying has it, “He who sings prays twice.” Prayer can be spoken or sung - both pastors and worship leaders are also prayer leaders. 

We are not only supposed to TALK to God in prayer, we are commanded to SING to Him. So, everyone who directs music in a church is also a worship leader, and (by definition) a prayer leader. In fact, if we are living in alignment with God’s purpose, we are not supposed to ever STOP praying.
